Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade has approved the appointments of Special Advisers, Special Assistants, Personal Assistant as well as the Chairmen and members of Board, Commissions, Departments and Agencies.

The man was captured supporting his staggering wife as they walked on the road. A source who spoke to CaliTown, said the victim believed to be in his thirties appears to have been killed somewhere and dumped there.

Cross River State Police Command on Wednesday, October 12th, paraded 22 suspected criminals and foiled kidnap of a woman in Calabar. Deputy Commissioner of Police administration in the command, DCP Tunde Gbolarumi told newsmen in a press briefing that the 22 suspects paraded, comprised of gangsters, kidnappers, one chance syndicates and armed robbers.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today arraigned one Johnson Babatola (pictured) before Justice Taiwo O. T of the Federal High Court sitting in Ado- Ekiti, Ekiti State, on a 7-count charge bordering on Advance fee fraud and operation of illegal polytechnic.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission today arrested former Abia state governorship candidate, Uche Ogah, over allegations of forgery. Ogah who is the president of oil firm, Masters Energy Oil and Gas, is alleged to have conspired with some persons still at large to forge a Memorandum of Understanding between his company, Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited and Mut-Hass Petroleum Limited sometime in March 2011.

President Buhari has broken his silence on the recent arrest of some judges ‎by agents of the SSS. In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba, President Buhari said corruption and not the judiciary was under attack. Read the statement below:

It is in this context that one has to view the absurd claims by the DSS that massive sums of cash ranging from 2 million USD to hundreds of thousands of euros and pounds sterling were found in the homes of all the judges that were arrested in the early hours of saturday morning.

Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade was welcomed at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar on Friday with a solidarity rally by a large crowd following his return from Abuja.

Some of his supporters carried a coffin with the name of former gubernatorial aspirant, Barrister Joe Agi, who is currently at the Supreme court with Governor Ayade for allegedly falsifying his age in the nomination forms purchased for the gubernatorial primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the run up to the 2015 general elections which Ayade won.
